The proposal for a Regulation amending Council Regulation (EEC) No 3922/91 on the harmonisation of technical requirements and administrative procedures in the field of civil aviation includes provisions on the approval of commercial air operators, which stipulate that an operator and its crews must take all steps necessary to ensure safety, including refusing to transport or ejecting passengers who may pose a risk to the safety of the aeroplane or its occupants (see, in particular, Articles 1.085, 1.090 and 1.115 of the annex to the proposal).
