In verband met de zogenoemde Sarbanes-Oxley-wet, op grond waarvan alle Europese accountantskantoren zich moeten laten registreren bij de United States Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (US PCAOB - toezichthouder voor de accountantsbranche), nam de Raad de volgende verklaring aan:
