Door wetenschappelijke en technologische samenwerking zal een bijdrage worden geleverd aan het mondiaal technologiemechanisme (global technology mechanism) van het Raamverdrag van de Verenigde Naties inzake klimaatverandering (United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change - UNFCCC) en zullen technologische ontwikkeling en innovatie en technologieoverdracht ter ondersteuning van de aanpassing aan de klimaatverandering en de mitigatie van broeikasgassen worden bevorderd.
La coopération scientifique et technologique concourra au mécanisme technologique mondial dans le cadre de la convention-cadre des Nations unies sur le changement climatique (CCNUCC) et facilitera le développement, l'innovation et le transfert technologiques à l'appui des mesures d'adaptation au changement climatique et d'atténuation des émissions de gaz à effet de serre.

In de mededeling wordt rekening gehouden met de reeds verrichte werkzaamheden en met de in de loop van 2006 ontvangen adviezen binnen het tweede Europese klimaatveranderingsprogramma (European Climate Change Programme - ECCPII), de werkgroep op hoog niveau (HLG) inzake concurrentiekracht, energie en het milieu, de voorbereiding van het zevende kaderprogramma voor onderzoek (KP7) en het platform voor nulemissietechnologie ten behoeve van met fossiele brandstoffen gestookte centrales (Zero Emission Fossil Fuel Power Plant Technology Platform - ZEP TP).
Elle tient compte des travaux effectués et des avis reçus en 2006 dans le cadre du deuxième programme européen sur le changement climatique (PECC II), du Groupe de haut niveau sur la compétitivité, l’énergie et l’environnement, de la préparation du 7e programme-cadre de recherche (7e PC), et de la plateforme technologique sur les centrales électriques à combustibles fossiles très peu polluantes.

Met de Amerikaanse regering zijn we een beleidsdialoog aangegaan in het kader van het VN-Raamverdrag inzake klimaatverandering en van andere fora en bijeenkomsten, zoals de Joint Climate Change Science and Technology Workshop .
Nous avons entamé un dialogue politique avec l’administration américaine dans le contexte de la convention-cadre des Nations unies sur le changement climatique et d’autres forums et réunions, tels que l’atelier conjoint scientifique et technologique sur le changement climatique.
