Recalls the UfM's commitment to support the establishment of a deepened free trade area in the Euro-Mediterranean region and enhanced regional and sub-regional economic integration; considers that the establishment of a free trade area on the southern shore of the Mediterranean and between the North and the South will lead to stronger links and increased trade and investment amongst the partner countries, thus helping to bridge the North-South divide; calls, therefore, for the Agadir Agreement to be implemented properly and extended to all eligible Mediterranean partners; stresses the importance of increasing complementarity between North-South bilateral cooperation and multilateral Euro-Mediterranean cooperation;
Rappelle l'engagement de l'UpM à soutenir la création d'une zone de libre-échange approfondie dans la région euro-méditerranéenne et une meilleure intégration économique régionale et sous-régionale; considère que la création d'une zone de libre-échange dans la rive Sud de la Méditerranée et entre le Nord et le Sud permettra d'approfondir les liens et d'augmenter les échanges commerciaux et les investissements entre les pays partenaires et participe à l'objectif de combler le fossé Nord-Sud; invite à ce titre à une mise en œuvre effective de l'Accord d'Agadir et à son extension à l'ensemble des partenaires méditerranéens éligibles; insiste sur l'importance de renforcer la complémentarité entre les coopérations bilatérales Nord-Sud et les coopérations multilatérales euro-méditerranéennes;

We stress the importance we attach to implementation and interpretation of the Agreement on Trade-Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights (TRIPs Agreement) in manner supportive of public health, by promoting both access to existing medicines and research and development into new medicines and, in this connection, are adopting a separate declaration ».
Nous soulignons l'importance que nous attachons à la mise en œuvre et à l'interprétation de l'Accord sur les aspects des droits de propriété intellectuelle qui touchent au commerce (Accord sur les ADPIC) d'une manière favorable à la santé publique, en promouvant à la fois l'accès aux médicaments existants et la recherche-développement concernant de nouveaux médicaments et, à cet égard, nous adoptons une Déclaration distincte ».
