- Par ailleurs, dans le cadre de l'Initiative taxonomique mondiale, des formations/ workshop sont organisés, sur base d'appel à projet, en Belgique et sur place (notamment un workshop régional en février 2016) pour permettre aux scientifiques d'acquérir de nouvelles compétences, de comparer leur matériel de recherche aux collections (d'insectes, de poissons, etc.) disponibles en Belgique, networking et échange de bonnes pratique Sud/ Sud etc.

4. Recognises, proceeding from the Monterrey Consensus, that development is a shared responsibility which starts with the efforts of developing countries to enhance their economic and political governance, thereby enabling them to boost their capacity to mobilise the domestic resources that constitute the main source of development financing; and calls on the Countries of the Northern shore of the Mediterranean to increase the financial and technical assistance granted to countries on the southern shore of the Mediterranean and channel more productive investment towards achieving sustainable development;
4. reconnaît sur la base du Consensus de Monterrey que le développement est une responsabilité partagée qui commence par les efforts des pays en développement pour renforcer leur gouvernance économique et politique leur permettant de conforter leur capacité de mobilisation des ressources internes qui constituent la principale source de financement du développement; et demande aux pays de la rive nord de la Méditerranéen d'augmenter l'aide financière et technique accordée au pays de la rive sud, et orienter davantage d'investissements productifs vers la réalisation du développement durable;
