We, Parliamentarians of the OSCE participating States, have met in annual session in Brussels on 3-7 July 2006 as the Parliamentary dimension of the OSCE to assess developments and challenges relating to security and cooperation, in particular on strengthening human security in the OSCE region, and we offer the following views to the OSCE ministers.

17. Encourages the participation of women in social dialogue and collective bargaining, and, in particular, greater representation of women in marginalised economic sectors; takes the view that trade unions should be strengthened and professional bodies involved in a social dialogue that encompasses the gender dimension, including through the introduction of quotas for the number of women in management positions;

Encourage la participation des femmes dans les domaines du dialogue social et de la négociation collective et, notamment, une représentation accrue des femmes dans les secteurs économiques marginalisés; considère que les syndicats doivent être renforcés et les associations professionnelles doivent être engagées dans un dialogue social qui intègre la dimension de genre, en adoptant des quotas pour les femmes dans les postes de direction;

18. Emphasises that the conclusions and recommendations of the Second Euro-Mediterranean ministerial Conference on Strengthening the Role of Women in Society, held in Marrakesh on 11 and 12 November 2009, must lead to political decisions and practical action, in particular as regards the establishment of a Euro-Mediterranean observatory on gender equality and of a Euro-Mediterranean network of academics and scientists working in the gender studies field, designed to serve as a forum for exchanges and for the coordination of local development projects involving women in the region;
18. Insiste sur le fait qu´il faut traduire en décisions politiques et en actions concrètes les conclusions et recommandations de la Conférence interministérielle Euro-Med des 11 et 12 novembre 2009 à Marrakech sur « le renforcement du rôle des femmes dans la société », notamment en ce qui concerne la création d´un observatoire euro-méditerranéen sur l´égalité femme-homme et d´un réseau universitaire et scientifique euro-méditerranéen sur les études de genre, comme lieu de rencontres et banque de projets de développement local à travers les femmes de la région;
