Dit wetsvoorstel gaat ten dele uit van de wijze waarop de reeds bestaande internationale organisaties het concept « eerlijke handel » invullen en in de praktijk brengen : de Fair Trade Labelling Organisation — International (FLO) en de International Federation for Alternative Trade (IFAT).
La présente proposition de loi se réfère pour partie au travail de conceptualisation et de pratique du commerce des organisations internationales déjà existantes: Fair Trade Labelling Organisation-International (FLO) et International Federation for Alternative Trade (IFAT).

1º organisatie voor eerlijke handel : een organisatie zoals de Fair Trade Labelling Organisation-International (FLO) of een lid daarvan, of nog een door de International Federation for Alternative Trade (IFAT) erkende organisatie of iedere andere organisatie die tot doel heeft een evenwicht te ontwikkelen en te zoeken in de handelsbetrekkingen, in het bijzonder tussen Noord en Zuid.
1º une organisation de commerce équitable: une organisation telle que Fair Trade Labelling Organisation-International (FLO) ou membre de cette dernière, ou une organisation reconnue par International Federation for Alternative Trade (IFAT) ou toute autre organisation dont l'objet est l'appui au développement et la recherche d'un équilibre dans les rapports commerciaux, en particulier, entre le Nord et le Sud.
