China achieves its trade surplus by an artificially low value of its currency, by suppressed wage rates so that imports into China cannot be afforded and so that export prices are considerably lower than European prices, and thirdly by ignoring international patent rights so that Chinese companies can benefit from research and development not carried out by themselves.
La Chine obtient cet excédent commercial en maintenant artificiellement à la baisse la valeur de sa monnaie, en réduisant les salaires de façon à rendre les importations étrangères inabordables et à pouvoir vendre ses exportations à des prix bien plus bas que les prix européens, et troisièmement, en ignorant les brevets internationaux de façon à ce que les entreprises chinoises puissent bénéficier de la recherche et du développement réalisés par d’autres.
