Welcomes the offer of the Romanian Government to host a follow-up conference in 2007 on combating anti-Semitism and all forms of discrimination with the aim of reviewing all the decisions adopted at the OSCE conferences (Vienna, Brussels, Berlin, Córdoba, Washington), for which commitments were undertaken by the participating States, with a request for proposals on improving implementation, and calls upon participating States to agree on a decision in this regard at the forthcoming ministerial Conference in Brussels;

Se félicite de l'offre du gouvernement roumain d'accueillir en 2007 une conférence de suivi sur la lutte contre l'antisémitisme et toutes les formes de discrimination en vue d'examiner toutes les décisions adoptées lors des conférences des l'OSCE (Vienne, Bruxelles, Berlin, Cordoue, Washington), au titre desquelles les États participants ont pris des engagements, avec une demande de proposition visant à améliorer leur mise en œuvre, et invite les États participants à adopter une décision à ce sujet lors de la prochaine Conférence ministérielle à Bruxelles;

1. acknowledges the need to involve civil society in the UfM's various bodies and to treat it as a source of constructive proposals and initiatives; calls on civil society on both shores of the Mediterranean to forge closer links with a view to achieving better regional cooperation and greater understanding of cultures and civilisations, while taking care to preserve their identities and to respect specific social, economic, environmental and cultural factors, to make the Mediterranean a haven of stability and peace;
1. reconnaît la nécessité d'associer la société civile aux différentes instances de l'UpM et de la considérer comme force de propositions et d'initiatives constructives; appelle à un rapprochement des sociétés civiles des deux rives de la Méditerranée pour une meilleure coopération régionale et compréhension des cultures et des civilisations, tout en veillant à garder leurs identités et à respecter les spécificités sociales, culturelles et religieuses, pour faire prospérer un espace de stabilité, de paix et de démocratie au sein de la Méditerranée;
