Instrumentarium Om het EMA in staat te stellen zijn taak te vervullen, moeten een aantal essentiële instrumenten worden gecreëerd: Observatie- en informatienetwerk Het Europees milieuobservatie- en -informatienetwerk omvat: - componenten van de bestaande nationale informatienetwerken; - de nationale knooppunten (één per Lid-Staat) - instellingen die voor het EMA op contract bepaalde werkzaamheden over specifieke, sterk in de belangstelling staande thema's uitvoeren (de zogenaamde "thematische centra").
Eléments constitutifs Un certain nombre d'éléments fondamentaux sont indispensables pour l'exécution de la mission de l'AEE. Réseau d'information et d'observation Le réseau européen d'information et d'observation comprendra - les principaux éléments composant les réseaux nationaux d'information; - un "point focal national" désigné par chaque Etat membre; - les institutions chargées par l'AEE d'étudier certains thèmes présentant un intérêt particulier, dénommées généralement "centres thématiques".
