14. neemt kennis van het "report of the Special Rapporteur on the promotion and protection of human rights and fundamental freedoms while countering terrorism" waarin met name wordt ingegaan op de bezorgdheid over de bescherming van het recht op privacy indien in de strijd tegen het terrorisme gebruik wordt gemaakt van bevoegdheden op het gebied van toezicht en van nieuwe technologieën; verzoekt de lidstaten zich zorgvuldig over dit verslag te beraden en hun beleid ter zake te wijzigen;
14. prend acte du rapport du Rapporteur spécial sur la promotion et la protection des droits de l'homme et des libertés fondamentales dans la lutte contre le terrorisme, dans lequel il fait état de préoccupations quant à la protection du droit à la vie privée lorsque la lutte contre le terrorisme fait appel à des moyens de surveillance et aux nouvelles technologies; appelle les États membres de l'UE à accorder une attention soutenue à ce rapport et à modifier leurs pratiques dans ce domaine;
