Op 21 januari 1998 organiseert de «Bicycle Council» naar aanleiding van de «76th International Motor Car, Motorcycle and Bicycle Show of Brussels» - bij het bredere publiek wellicht beter bekend als het Autosalon - een «European Bicycle Day».
Le 21 janvier 1998, le «Bicycle Council» organise une Journée européenne de la bicyclette à l'occasion de la «76th International Motor Car, Motorcycle and Bicycle Show of Brussels», sans doute mieux connu du grand public sous la dénomination de «Salon de l'auto».
