In tabel 34 wordt het aantal aanwezige functionele occlusale contacten weergegeven, dit zowel met als zonder eventueel aanwezige prothetische voorziening. Zonder prothese waren er gemiddeld 5.5 (±3.28) occlusale contacten tussen natuurlijke gebitselementen, mét prothetische voorziening steeg dit slechts lichtjes tot 5.9 (±2.44).
Alors que le nombre moyen de contacts sans prothèse s'élevait à 8.0 (± 1.08) dans le groupe des 15-24 ans, celui-ci tombait à 1.8 (2.55) dans le groupe de 75 ans ou plus.
