Patiënten werden gestratificeerd op basis van voorgaande nefrectomische status binnen drie geografische regio’s en werden at random ingedeeld (1:1:1) om Interferon alfa (IFN-α) monotherapie (n=207), temsirolimus monotherapie (wekelijks 25 mg; n=209) of de combinatie van IFN-α en temsirolimus (n=210) te krijgen.
Les patients ont été stratifiés en fonction de leur statut de néphrectomisés/non-néphrectomisés au sein des trois zones géographiques et se sont vu attribuer par randomisation (1/1/1) soit l'interféron alfa (IFN- ) en monothérapie (n = 207), soit le temsirolimus en monothérapie (25 mg par semaine, n = 209), ou l'association IFN- plus temsirolimus (n = 210).
