Veneuze embolische en trombotische voorvallen (zie rubriek 4.4) In een gecontroleerd klinisch onderzoek met axitinib voor de behandeling van patiënten met RCC werden veneuze embolische en trombotische bijwerkingen gerapporteerd bij 1,9% van de patiënten die axitinib kregen. Er werden veneuze embolische en trombotische bijwerkingen van klasse 3/4 gerapporteerd bij 1,7% van de patiënten die axitinib kregen (waaronder longembolie, diep veneuze trombose en retinale veneuze occlusie/trombose).
