Het European Network Education and Training in Occupational Safety and Health (ENETOSH) [Europees netwerk voor onderwijs en opleiding inzake veiligheids- en gezondheidsbescherming op het werk] heeft als globale doelstelling de ontwikkeling en de bevordering van nieuwe methoden voor de verbetering van de kwaliteit van onderwijs en opleiding door de uitwisseling van kennis en ervaring betreffende de integratie van arbeidsveiligheid en -gezondheid in het onderwijs en de opleiding in Europa te versterken en te systematiseren.
L’objectif global du European Network Education and Training in Occupational Safety and Health (ENETOSH, réseau européen pour l’éducation et la formation à la sécurité et la santé au travail) est de développer et promouvoir des méthodes d’amélioration de la qualité de l’éducation et de la formation en intensifiant et systématisant l’échange des connaissances et des expériences concernant l’intégration OSS dans l’éducation et la formation en Europe.

- Level 2: Improving the competence of society’s key figures Training sessions on depression and suicide are offered to various occupational groups who, without having any specific training, come into contact with individuals suffering from depression or suicidal thoughts, viz. pharmacists, teachers, PMS (Psycho-Medico-Social) centres, pastoral workers, hospital staff, police agents, prison officers, etc. These occupational groups can contribute to providing better support to these individuals, as well as to the early detection of problems and possible guidance.
Niveau 2: développement des compétences des figures clés dans la société Des sessions de formation sur la dépression et le suicide sont offertes à différents groupes professionnels qui entrent en contact avec des personnes souffrant d’une dépression ou d’idées suicidaires, mais qui n’ont pas eu de formation spécifique. A ce groupe appartiennent des pharmaciens, des professeurs, des centres PMS, des agents pastoraux, le personnel d’hôpitaux, des agents de police, des agents pénitentiaires, etc. Ces professionnels peuvent contribuer à un meilleur soutien pour ces personnes, détection précoce de problèmes et orientation éventuelle.

Current practice in Flanders is assessed by means of interviews, which will be conducted with various occupational groups (GPs, pharmacists, CGG staff, telephone help line staff…) as well as students. In some groups a measurement is made before and after the training programmes on suicide, in collaboration with the Centrum ter Preventie van Zelfmoord (CPZ), which organises several trainings on this topic.
