A guideline revision group composed of B. Gordts, Y. Glupczynski, P. De Mol, C. Suetens, B. Byl, B. Jans, F. De Meerleer and M. Struelens reviewed the 1993 version of the guidelines based upon personal literature and the annotated bibliography from guideline development groups in the Netherlands, UK and USA.

Een interessant en omvangrijk literatuuroverzicht over invasieve aspergillosen te wijten aan bouwwerken werd gepubliceerd in de « National Guidelines for the Prevention of Nosocomial Invasive Aspergillosis During Construction / Renovation Activities » in het kader van het « National Disease Surveillance Centre » van Ierland.
Une intéressante et impressionnante revue de la littérature concernant les aspergilloses invasives associées à des travaux de construction a été publiée dans les « National Guidelines for the Prevention of Nosocomial Invasive Aspergillosis During Construction / Renovation Activities » dans le cadre du National Disease Surveillance Centre (NDSC) d’Irlande.

A national MRSA surveillance program was launched in collaboration with the federal Scientific Institute of Public Health and the reference laboratory for staphylococci (ULB-Erasme) to monitor the prevalence and incidence of MRSA in Belgian hospitals 22 and a decrease was observed after more than 80 % of the hospitals had adopted the national guidelines.
