Experts in het domein zijn het er over eens dat case reports, kleine retrospectieve series en één prospectieve kleine trial (4 patiënten) die tot dusver werden gepubliceerd (iets meer dan 50 patiënten in totaal, tot dusver beschreven) wel degelijk het proof-of–concept van HT hebben aangetoond.
Les experts en la matière sont d’accord pour dire que les case reports, les petites séries rétrospectives et un petit essai prospectif (4 patients) publiés jusqu’à présent (un peu plus de 50 patients au total, décrits pour l’instant) ont effectivement mis en évidence le proof-of–concept des TH.

Both the SCF’s 2003 opinion and the advisory report recently published by the German Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BfR, 2008) mention a number of observation cases and reported cases with acute adverse effects, including death, in people who consume energy drinks.
