Proteïnurie werd onderzocht op vastgestelde visites door spotanalyse van proteïne/creatinine in de urine en gecategoriseerd op basis van het niveau van klinische relevantie zoals weergegeven in tabel.

In geval van positieve semikwantitatieve teststripresultaten (eiwitten > 30 mg/dl) dient een urineonderzoek te worden uitgevoerd om de proteïne-creatinineverhouding in de urine (UPC) te meten. Eveneens dient een bloedmonster te worden genomen om het creatinine, albumine en ureumgebonden stikstof in het bloed (BUN) te meten.
En cas de résultats semi-quantitatifs positifs sur la bandelette (protéines > 30 mg/dl), une analyse d’urine visant à déterminer le rapport créatinine/protéines urinaires, ainsi qu’une analyse de sang permettant de doser la créatinine, l’albumine et l’urée doivent être réalisées.
