Hart- en bloedvataandoeningen: zeer vaak: duizeligheid vaak: hypotensie, orthostatische hypotensie, aritmieën, angina pectoris, tachycardie soms: roodheid van het gezicht, palpitaties, myocardinfarct of cerebrovasculair accident, mogelijk als gevolg van buitensporige hypotensie bij patiënten met een hoog risico (zie rubriek 4.4) zelden: syndroom van Raynaud niet bekend: necrotiserende angiitis (vasculitis, cutane vasculitis)

Hypotensie Het is uitermate belangrijk dat patiënten die intramusculair olanzapine krijgen toegediend nauwlettend dienen te worden geobserveerd voor hypotensie inclusief orthostatische hypotensie, brady-aritmieën en/of hypoventilatie, met name gedurende de eerste 4 uur na injectie en, indien klinisch geïndiceerd, dient nauwlettende observatie na deze periode te worden voortgezet.
Hypotension Il est extrêmement important que les patients recevant de l'olanzapine intramusculaire fassent l'objet d'une surveillance étroite, afin de vérifier toute apparition d'hypotension, y compris l'hypotension orthostatique, de bradyarythmie et/ou d'hypoventilation, notamment dans les 4 premières heures après l'injection.

Patiënten dienen te blijven liggen in geval ze duizelig of slaperig zijn na injectie, totdat onderzoek indiceert dat zij geen hypotensie inclusief orthostatische hypotensie, brady-aritmieën en/of hypoventilatie vertonen.
Les patients doivent rester en décubitus, s'ils ont des vertiges ou sont somnolents après une injection, jusqu'à ce que l'examen indique qu'ils ne présentent pas d'hypotension, y compris l'hypotension orthostatique, de bradyarythmie et/ou d'hypoventilation.

Imipramine is zeker niet aanbevolen bij ouderen omwille van zijn ongewenste effecten (anticholinerge effecten, orthostatische hypotensie en, bij overdosering, aritmieën die fataal kunnen zijn).
Vu ses effets indésirables (anticholinergiques, hypotension orthostatique, et en cas de surdosage, arythmies cardiaques parfois fatales), elle n’est certainement pas recommandée chez les personnes âgées.
