Patiënten met een voorgeschiedenis van gastro-intestinale toxiciteit, vooral ouderen, dienen alle ongewone abdominale symptomen (in het bijzonder gastro-intestinale bloeding) te melden, vooral in de beginfase van de behandeling. Voorzichtigheid is geboden bij patiënten die gelijktijdig geneesmiddelen gebruiken die het risico op ulceraties of bloedingen verhogen, zoals heparine als curatieve behandeling of gegeven in de geriatrie, anticoagulantia zoals warfarine of andere niet-steroïde anti-inflammatoire geneesmiddelen, inclusief acetylsalicylzuur gegeven aan anti-inflammatoire doseringen ( ≥ 1 g bij enkelvoudige inname of ≥ 3 g bij totale dagelijkse hoeveelheid) (zie rubriek 4.5).
Une attention particulière doit être portée aux patients recevant des traitements associés susceptibles d’augmenter le risque d’ulcération ou d’hémorragie, comme l’héparine en traitement curatif ou chez les patients âgés, les anticoagulants tels que la warfarine, ou les autres médicaments antiinflammatoires non stéroïdiens, y compris l’aspirine donnée à doses anti-inflammatoires (> 1g en prise unique ou > 3g par jour (voir rubrique 4.5).
