La province néerlandaise du Limbourg, située à proximité de la frontière, a rapporté des taux d'incidence du cancer de la thyroïde similaires à ceux rapportés en Flandre pour les hommes (2,1 par 100 000 personnesannées) mais des taux inférieurs pour les femmes (3,6 par 100 000 personnes-années vs 6,1 par 100 000 personnes-années).

De Euregio Maas-Rijn omvat de geografische zone zoals deze administratief omschreven is in het Interreg II-programma, met name de provincies Luik en Belgisch Limburg (België), de streek van Aken (Duitsland), en de provincies Noord-Brabant en Nederlands Limburg (Nederland).
L’Euregio Meuse-Rhin recouvre la zone géographique décrite administrativement dans le programme Interreg II, notamment les provinces de Liège et du Limbourg (Belgique), la région d’Aix (Allemagne) et les provinces du Noord Brabant et du Limbourg (Pays- Bas).

Il est intéressant de constater que la province du Limburg aux Pays-Bas qui côtoie la Flandre rapporte des taux d’incidence identiques pour les hommes (2,1/100 000 PA) et moindres pour les femmes (3,6 vs 6,1 par 100 000 PA).

In de ziekenhuizen van Zuidoost-Limburg alleen al zullen dit jaar ongeveer 2.000 Nederlanders zich privé laten verzorgen. Hun zorgverzekeraar heeft een contract gesloten met het ziekenhuis.
Cette année, environ 2.000 Néerlandais ayant souscrit à une assurance privée se feront soigner dans l’un des hôpitaux du sud-est du Limbourg, leur organisme assureur ayant conclu un contrat avec les hôpitaux concernés.
