Specifieke patiëntengroepen Rivotril mag slechts met bijzondere voorzorg worden gebruikt bij spinale of cerebellaire ataxie, bij ernstige leveraandoeningen (bijv. levercirrose), bij acute intoxicatie door alcohol of andere geneesmiddelen (bijv. anti-epileptica, hypnotica, analgetica, neuroleptica, antidepressiva of lithium).
