1060 patiënten werden gerandomiseerd op ofwel docetaxel 75 mg/m 2 toegediende 1 uur na doxorubicine 50 mg/m² en cyclofosfamide 500 mg/m² (539 patiënten in TAC-arm), of doxorubicine 50 mg/m² gevolgd door fluoruracil 500 mg/m² en cyclofosfamide 500 mg/m² (521 patiënten in FAC-arm), als adjuvante behandeling van operabele kliernegatieve borstkanker patiënten met hoog recidiefrisico volgens de St. Gallen-criteria van 1998 (tumorvolume > 2 cm en/of negatieve ER en PR en/of hoge histologische/nucleaire graad (graad 2 tot 3) en /of leeftijd < 35 jaar).
1 060 patientes ont été randomisées pour recevoir soit 75 mg/m 2 de docétaxel 1 heure après 50 mg/m 2 de doxorubicine et 500 mg/m 2 de cyclophosphamide (539 patientes du bras TAC), soit 50 mg/m 2 de doxorubicine puis 500 mg/m 2 de fluoro-uracile et 500 mg/m 2 de cyclophosphamide (521 patientes du bras FAC) en traitement adjuvant d'un cancer du sein opérable sans envahissement ganglionnaire chez des patientes présentant un risque élevé de récidive selon les critères de Saint-Gall 1998 (taille de la tumeur > 2 cm et/ou tumeur ER-/PR- et/ou grade histologique/nucléaire élevé (grade 2 à 3) et/ou âge < 35 ans).
