Cette organisation se penche sur des problèmes d’actualité (échange d’informations, analyse de tendances…) tels que les problèmes liés à la répression des infractions dans le cadre de la distribution des médicaments, l’internet, les problèmes liés aux matières premières, les médicaments contrefaits et l’entraînement des enforcement officers en matière de criminalité pharmaceutique. Depuis 2003, l’AFMPS joue également un rôle directeur au sein de l’Ad Hoc Group on Counterfeit Medicines du Conseil de l’Europe à Strasbourg.
