De la pyridoxine à la dose de 50-150 mg par jour associée à des corticoïdes a été utilisée pour la prophylaxie et le traitement de l’EPP, toutefois ce traitement n’a pas été évalué pendant les études de phase III. Afin de prévenir et traiter l’EPP, les patients peuvent effectuer des bains d’eau froide (applications, bains ou natation) pendant les 4 à 7 jours suivant l’initiation du traitement par Caelyx, ceci afin de maintenir au froid les pieds et les mains en évitant l’exposition à la chaleur et l’eau chaude.
