Il est également possible d’utiliser l’amplification par déplacement de brin (strand displacement amplification) et l’amplification en cercle roulant (rolling circle amplification), bien que ces techniques n’aient pas été développées pour le diagnostic virologique (Whiley & Sioots, 2010).
