The long-term portion of the Alcon financing was put in place in 2008, 2009 and the first quarter of 2010 (with maturities spanning 3 to 10 years), with the final amount of approximately USD 8.2 billion being financed through an expanded US commercial paper program.
La partie à long terme du financement de l’acquisition d’Alcon a été mise en place en 2008, 2009 et au premier trimestre 2010, assortie de maturités s’échelonnant entre trois et dix ans. Le dernier montant de l’ordre d’USD 8,2 milliards étant financé par un programme étendu de billets de trésorerie aux Etats-Unis.
