Er is evidentie dat bij intermitterende toediening van de bisfosfonaten (wekelijks, maandelijks, driemaandelijks: cfr. supra) de BMD even sterk wordt beïnvloed als bij dagelijkse toediening, maar studies over een effect op het fractuurrisico zijn niet beschikbaar: experten menen dat er een gunstig effect is.
Des données indiquent que l' administration intermittente de diphosphonates (hebdomadaire, mensuelle, trimensuelle: cfr. ci-dessus) influence la DMO de la même manière qu’une administration quotidienne, mais on ne dispose d’aucune étude quant à l' effet sur le risque de fractures: des experts estiment qu' il existe un effet favorable.

Foliumzuurtekort kan de toxiciteit van methotrexaat verhogen, en toediening van foliumzuur (magistrale bereiding) in een dosis van 5 à 10 mg per week, ofwel dagelijks toegediend (1 mg per dag), ofwel wekelijks toegediend (5 mg per week), laat toe bepaalde ongewenste effecten van methotrexaat te verminderen (bv. de gastro-intestinale en hematologische stoornissen) [zie Folia april 2006 ].
La déficience en acide folique peut augmenter la toxicité du méthotrexate, et l’administration d’acide folique (en préparation magistrale) à raison de 5 à 10 mg par semaine, soit en prises journalières (1 mg par jour), soit en une prise hebdomadaire (5 mg par semaine), permet de diminuer certains effets indésirables du méthotrexate (p. ex. les troubles gastro-intestinaux et hématologiques) [voir Folia d' avril 2006 ].
