In zoverre verdienen voorstellen die nu weer opnieuw ter tafel liggen om meer transparantie en verantwoordingsplicht in het begrotingsbeleid van de lidstaten te bewerkstelligen onze volle ondersteuning. Het is met name in het belang van de deelnemers aan de Monetaire Unie om de geloofwaardigheid van het stabiliteits- en groeipact met transparante informatie te ondersteunen.
We should therefore lend our unreserved support to these renewed proposals for increased transparency and accountability in the Member States’ budgetary policies, and it must be especially in the interests of all participants in the monetary union to support the credibility of the Stability and Growth Pact by means of transparent data.
