De boodschap van mijn fractie is desalniettemin dat voorzitter Barroso, de commissaris en hun collega’s niet betrapt mogen worden op een uiltje knappen in de huidige situatie, met haar fusies, overnames en ontwikkelingen op de financiële markten, in de energiesector en de andere sectoren, die allemaal erg belangrijk zijn voor de Europese economie.
The message of my group, nevertheless, is that President Barroso, the Commissioner and their colleagues should not be caught napping in the situation we now find ourselves in, with the mergers, acquisitions and developments we see in the financial markets, energy and other sectors – sectors that are all very important for the European economy.
