Aangezien de ontbrekende gegevens en de verschillen tussen het TNP en de emissie-inventaris volgens Richtlijn 2001/80/EG de beoordeling van het TNP hebben bemoeilijkt, heeft de Commissie in haar brief van 3 juni 2013 (5) het Verenigd Koninkrijk verzocht het TNP opnieuw in te dienen en daarbij de juiste gegevenssjablonen te gebruiken, de ontbrekende gegevens aan te vullen, de verschillen tussen het TNP en de inventaris volgens Richtlijn 2001/80/EG voor 2009 op te helderen en uitdrukkelijk te bevestigen dat de samentellingsregels van artikel 29 van Richtlijn 2010/75/EU voor het opstellen van het TNP zijn toegepast.
As the missing data and the discrepancies between the TNP and the emission inventory under Directive 2001/80/EC hampered the assessment of the TNP, the Commission, in its letter of 3 June 2013 (5), requested the United Kingdom to resubmit the TNP using the correct data templates and including the missing data, and to clarify the differences found between the TNP and the 2009 emission inventory under Directive 2001/80/EC, as well as to explicitly confirm that the aggregation rules set out in Article 29 of Directive 2010/75/EU had been applied for the compilation of the TNP.

De Commissie nodigt de Europese Raad van 17 juni 2010 uit de beginselen en de in deze mededeling voorgestelde weg te bevestigen en de EU-vertegenwoordigers in de G20 uit te nodigen deze op de komende ontmoetingen te verdedigen.
