In dit verband worden drie beleidsantwoorden genoemd die zich richten op: a) de behoefte (d.w.z. de vraag) aan sociaal beleid die toeneemt door bestaande en nieuwe problemen in verband met werkloosheid en de overgang naar nieuwe economische omstandigheden, b) de levering (d.w.z. de voorziening) van sociaal beleid door aanpassing van de bestuurlijke structuren om de nieuwe rol van sociaal beleid te dienen, en c) nieuwe manieren voor de hantering van informatie (zowel statistische indicatoren als bestuurlijke informatie).
In this context, three policy responses are proposed addressing: a) the needs (i.e. the demand) for social policy raised by existing and emerging problems that are linked to unemployment and the transition to new economic conditions, b) the delivery (i.e. the supply) of social policy through the adaptation of the administrative structures to serve the new role of social policy, and c) new ways of information handling (both statistical indicators and administrative information).

In dit verband worden er drie beleidsaanpassingen voorgesteld: a) aan de behoefte (de vraag) naar sociaal beleid om met name nieuwe problemen aan te pakken die samenhangen met werkloosheid, de overgang naar nieuwe economische omstandigheden en wereldwijde aanpassingen, b) aan de levering (de voorziening) van sociaal beleid via de aanpassing van bestuurlijke structuren om de nieuwe rol van het sociaal beleid te dienen, en c) aan het verkrijgen van nieuwe manieren om informatie te hanteren (zowel statistische indicatoren als bestuurlijke informatie). In het algemeen beweegt het NAP/int. zich langs vier strategische richtingen: (1) continue macro-economische uitbreiding, (2) werkgelegenheidsbeleid gericht tegen werkloosheid en ten gunste van flexibiliteit op de arbeidsmarkt (steun voor vrouwen en groepen met lage inkomens), (3) een reeks hervormingen op gebieden die met sociale uitsluiting in verband staan (gezondheidszorg, welzijn, onderwijs, sociale zekerheid, openbaar bestuur, decentralisatie), (4) drie nieuwe gerichte initiatieven die in januari 2002 ingevoerd moeten worden.
In this context, three policy adjustments are proposed: a) to the needs (the demand) for social policy to address mainly new problems which are linked to unemployment, the transition to new economic conditions and to global realignments, b) at the delivery (the supply) of social policy through the adaptation of the administrative structures to serve the new role of the social policy, and c) to obtain new ways of information handling (both statistical indicators and administrative information).Overall, the NAPincl moves along four strategic directions: (1) continued macro economic expansion, (2) employment policy aimed against unemployment and in favour of flexibility in the labour market (aiding women and low income groups), (3) a series of reforms in areas linked to exclusion (Health, Welfare, Education, social security, public administration, decentralisation), (4) and three new targeted initiatives to be introduced in January 2002.
