IN-CONTEXT TRANSLATIONS

62. verwelkomt het besluit van de Raad van Ministers van economie en financiën om een subgroep van het Comité financiële diensten op te richten die zich zal bezighouden met de toezichtstructuur op de langere termijn en in oktober 2007 verslag zal uitbrengen; verwacht dat deze groep een correct beeld zal schetsen van de huidige situatie; is van mening dat dit verslag, samen met het eindverslag van de interinstitutionele controlegroep (IIMG) dat ook in de herfst van 2007 wordt verwacht, het verslag van het Europees Parlement en het verwachte follow-upverslag van de Europese Commissie, het momentum zal zijn om zich een beeld te vormen van de resterende uitdagingen inzake de integratie en doeltreffendheid van de architectuur voor financiële regelgeving en toezicht en zal leiden tot aanbevelingen voor verder optreden;
62. welcomes the decision of the Economic and Financial Affairs Council to set up an Financial Services Committee subgroup on long-term supervisory issues, which is due to report in October 2007; expects that group to give a fair assessment of the present situation; together with the final report of the Inter-institutional Monitoring Group (IIMG) that is also expected in autumn 2007, the report of the European Parliament and the expected follow-up report of the European Commission this may create momentum for an assessment of the remaining challenges to the integration and effectiveness of the financial regulation and supervision architecture, and provide commitment for possible recommendations for further steps;

3. is van mening dat de raadpleging van de belanghebbenden - met name van de "interinstitutionele controlegroep" waar het gaat om financiële diensten - een centrale rol moet blijven spelen en onderstreept dat deze raadpleging in een dusdanig vroeg stadium van het besluitvormingsproces moet plaatsvinden dat rekening kan worden gehouden met de bevindingen; verzoekt de Commissie de reacties op de raadplegingen te blijven publiceren, teneinde de transparantie van het proces te waarborgen;
3. Takes the view that consultations with stakeholders – in particular, as far as financial services are concerned, the ‘Inter-institutional Monitoring Group’ – should continue to play a key role and stresses that such consultations should be held sufficiently upstream of the decision-making process so that opinions can genuinely be taken into account; calls on the Commission to continue to publish the replies to its consultations in order to ensure that the process is transparent;

Het EP-voorstel voor de oprichting van een nieuwe adviesgroep van wijzen op hoog niveau wordt herhaald en de interinstitutionele controlegroep wordt aangemoedigd om aan te geven hoe het verder moet met de Lamfalussy-procedure.
