having regard to the annual report of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights on the situation of human rights and the activities of the United Nations Joint Human Rights Office in the DRC, of 27 July 2015,

De Commissie werkt samen met internationale organisaties (Hoge Commissaris van de VN voor vluchtelingen, internationale organisatie voor migratie) om mensen die Libië willen verlaten, terug naar hun land van herkomst te helpen brengen.
The Commission is cooperating with international organisations (UNHCR, International Organisation for Migration, IOM) to help people who want to leave Libya get back to their home countries.

Er zijn bijna 22 000 vluchtelingen vanuit Turkije, Jordanië en Libanon hervestigd in Europa en ik schaar mij achter de oproep van de hoge commissaris van de VN voor de vluchtelingen om vanuit Libië en de omringende landen nog eens 40 000 vluchtelingen te hervestigen.

Reiterates its support for strengthening the UN human rights system as fundamental to the advancement of universal human rights; acknowledges the EU’s efforts in the Review of the UN Human Rights Council, and calls on all members of the Human Rights Council to uphold the highest standards of human rights and to live up to their pledges made before their election; considers the independence of the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights and of the UN Special Procedures mandate holders as a key prerequisite to their efficient functioning, and emphasises the need for non-earmarked funding to ensure this;
