My only role is to determine whether the remarks were unparliamentary and whether they constitute such a grave attack as to impede the hon. member for Ottawa—Vanier in the performance of his duties.

Je suppose que nous laisserons à la population du Canada et au juge Gomery le soin d'en juger, mais, comme je crois que mes propos étaient non parlementaires, je les retire.

Ces deux choses combinées me portent à croire que les propos en question étaient non parlementaires et que la députée devrait se rétracter.
The combination of those two things leads me to believe the language in question was unparliamentary and must be withdrawn.
