Le Président fait savoir à la Chambre qu'une vacance est survenue dans la députation à la Chambre des communes pour la circonscription électorale de Berthier—Montcalm, dans la province de Québec, à la suite de la démission de M. Bellehumeur (Berthier Montcalm) , et que, conformément à l'alinéa 25(1)b) de la Loi sur le Parlement du Canada, il a adressé au Directeur général des élections, plus tôt aujourd'hui, l'ordre officiel d'émettre un bref d'élection en vue de pourvoir à cette vacance.
The Speaker informed the House that a vacancy had occurred in the representation in the House of Commons, for the Electoral District of Berthier—Montcalm, in the Province of Quebec, by reason of the resignation of Mr. Bellehumeur (Berthier Montcalm) , and that, pursuant to paragraph 25(1)(b) of the Parliament of Canada Act, he had addressed, earlier today, his warrant to the Chief Electoral Officer for the issue of a writ for the election of a member to fill the vacancy.
