1. Un ou plusieurs États membres participants peuvent informer le comité directeur de leur intention de mettre en place un projet ou programme ad hoc relevant des attributions de l'Agence et, le cas échéant, d'établir le budget ad hoc correspondant, en indiquant également la valeur ajoutée attendue de l'Agence.
1. One or more participating Member States may inform the Steering Board that they intend to establish an ad hoc project or programme within the Agency's remit, and where appropriate the ad hoc budget associated with it, indicating also the expected added value brought by the Agency.

Étant donné que les objectifs du présent règlement, à savoir garantir à l’échelle de l’Union des actions de solidarité pour aider des États membres frappés par une catastrophe naturelle, ne peuvent pas être atteints de manière suffisante par les États membres sur une base ad hoc mais peuvent, en raison de l’application d’une méthode systématique, régulière et équitable d’octroi d’aides financières faisant intervenir tous les États membres en fonction de leur capacité, l’être mieux au niveau de l’Union, celle-ci peut prendre des mesures conformément au principe de subsidiarité consacré à l’article 5 du traité sur l’Union européenne.
Since the objectives of this Regulation, namely to ensure Union-wide solidarity action to support natural disaster-stricken States, cannot be sufficiently achieved by the Member States on an ad-hoc basis, but can rather, by reason of applying a systematic, regular and equitable method of granting financial support involving all Member States according to their capacity, be better achieved at Union level, the Union may adopt measures, in accordance with the principle of subsidiarity as set out in Article 5 of the Treaty on European Union.

La Commission pourra établir un logiciel d’application de référence, sous la forme d’un logiciel ad hoc permettant aux États membres de réaliser cette interconnexion. Les États membres pourront choisir d’utiliser ce logiciel ad hoc au lieu de leur propre logiciel d’interconnexion pour mettre en œuvre l’ensemble commun de protocoles, ce qui permettra l’échange d’informations entre les bases de données relatives aux casiers judiciaires.
The Commission may provide reference implementation software, namely appropriate software enabling Member States to make this interconnection, which they may choose to apply instead of their own interconnection software implementing a common set of protocols enabling the exchange of information between criminal records databases.

The ad hoc state aid granted by the Netherlands to the individual public service broadcasters is compatible with the common market provided that, insofar as such aid results in over-compensation of the public service mission, the surplus is held in a special purpose reserve, the amount of which does not exceed 10 % of the broadcaster's annual budget and provided that compliance with this limitation is regularly monitored by the Netherlands.
