La Banque européenne d'Investissement, l'institution financière de l'Union européenne a accordé à Banca OPI un prêt global de 200 millions d'EUR qui contribuera au financement de projets de petite et moyenne dimension destinés à l'amélioration des infrastructures situées dans les zones assistées ainsi que d'investissements ayant trait aux liaisons de transports internationales, à l'éducation, à la santé, à la rénovation urbaine et aux transports.
