(3) Une compagnie peut acheminer un wagon-citerne de spécifications 112 et 114 du DOT qui a été construit ou modifié conformément au Title 49 Code of Federal Regulations (des États-Unis d’Amérique), article 179/05 de la partie 179, Special Requirements for Specifications 112 and 114 Tank Cars.
(3) A company may transport any DOT Specification 112 and 114 tank car that has been manufactured or modified as specified in the Special Requirements for Specifications 112 and 114 Tank Cars, Section 179/05 of Part 179 Title 49 Code of Federal Regulations (of the United States of America).

Tanks and wagons constructed on or after 1 January 1997 which do not comply with this Directive but were constructed in accordance with the requirements of Directive 96/49/EC that were applicable on the date of their construction may continue to be used for national transport.
