(b) further re-determine the origin, tariff classification or value for duty of imported goods, within four years after the date of the determination or, if the Minister deems it advisable, within such further time as may be prescribed, on the basis of an audit or examination under section 42, a verification under section 42.01 or a verification of origin under section 42.1 that is conducted after the granting of a refund under paragraphs 74(1)(c.1), (c.11), (e), (f) or (g) that is treated by subsection 74(1.1) as a re-determination under paragraph (a) or the making of a correction under section 32.2 that is treated by subsection 32.2(3) as a re-determination under paragraph (a).

9. Lorsque l’agent détermine, au cours de la vérification de l’origine, que le producteur des marchandises n’a pas inscrit ses coûts conformément aux principes comptables généralement reconnus qui s’appliquent sur le territoire du pays — pays ALÉNA en cause ou Chili — où ont été produites les marchandises faisant l’objet de la vérification de l’origine, l’agent lui envoie un avis écrit à cet effet précisant qu’il dispose d’une période de 60 jours suivant la réception de l’avis pour rectifier la situation.
9. Where an officer determines, during the course of a verification of origin, that a producer of goods has failed to record costs in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles applied in the territory of the NAFTA country or Chile in which the goods that are the subject of the verification of origin are produced, the officer shall send a written notice to the producer stating that the producer has not recorded its costs in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and that the producer must record those costs in accordance with those principles within 60 days after receiving that written notice.
