1 bis. Par dérogation au paragraphe 1, un État membre peut exiger l'immatriculation sur son territoire d'un véhicule immatriculé dans un autre État membre si le détenteur du véhicule possède une résidence normale dans cet État membre et s'il utilise le véhicule essentiellement dans ce même État membre à titre permanent, c'est-à-dire pendant au moins 185 jours par année civile.

By way of derogation from paragraph 1, a Member State may require the registration on its territory of a vehicle registered in another Member State if the vehicle holder has normal residence in that Member State and uses the vehicle essentially in the Member State of normal residence on a permanent basis, that is for at least 185 days each calendar year.

Member States requiring vehicles registered in another Member State to display a distinguishing registration sign when they are being driven on their territory shall recognise the distinguishing sign of the Member State of registration displayed on the extreme left of the registration plate in accordance with the Annex to this Regulation as being equivalent to any other distinguishing sign that they recognise for the purpose of identifying the State in which the vehicle is registered.

IF IT IS BROUGHT TO THE NOTICE OF THE COMPETENT AUTHORITIES OF A MEMBER STATE THAT A BREACH OF THE PROVISIONS OF THIS REGULATION HAS BEEN COMMITTED BY A CREW MEMBER OF A VEHICLE REGISTERED IN ANOTHER MEMBER STATE , THOSE AUTHORITIES MAY NOTIFY THE AUTHORITIES OF THE STATE WHERE THE VEHICLE IS REGISTERED OF SUCH BREACH .
