Champ d'application 1. Le présent règlement s'applique aux transports internationaux de voyageurs par autocars et autobus qui sont effectués, sur le territoire de la Communauté, par des transporteurs pour compte d'autrui ou pour compte propre établis dans un État membre en conformité avec la législation de celui-ci et au moyen de véhicules immatriculés dans cet État membre, aptes, d'après leur type de construction et leur équipement, à transporter plus de neuf personnes - le conducteur compris - et destinés à cet effet, ainsi qu'aux déplacements à vide de véhicules en rapport avec ces transports.
1. This Regulation shall apply to the international carriage of passengers by coach and bus within the territory of the Community by carriers for hire or reward or own-account carriers established in a Member State in accordance with its law, using vehicles which are registered in that Member State and are suitable, by virtue of their construction and equipment, for carrying more than nine persons, including the driver, and are so intended, and to the movement of such vehicles empty in connection with such carriage.
