Cela étant dit, je continue de croire qu'il faut indiquer que c'est ce que nous souhaitons et rappeler au gouvernement du Sri Lanka que c'est également une question importante pour nous, puisque 300 000 Tamouls environ vivent au Canada. De fait, nous voulons voir à ce qu'ils aient une place dans la société canadienne et qu'ils ne soient pas carrément affligés par ce qui se passe dans leur pays d'origine.
But that being said, I still think we need to indicate that this is what we would like to see and to remind the Sri Lankan government that we have possibly as many as 300,000 Tamils living in Canada and this is an important issue for us, too, because we want to make sure they have a place in Canadian society and that they are not totally aggrieved over what has come to pass in their homeland.
