Iouchtchenko, invitant l'UE à apporter une aide destinée à établir un contrôle douanier international sur le segment transnistrien de la frontière entre la Moldavie et l'Ukraine et à mettre en place un mécanisme international de surveillance efficace de ce segment de la frontière.
The establishment of this mission follows a request by President Voronin of Moldova and President Yuschenko of Ukraine in June 2005 for the EU to offer assistance in establishing an international customs control on the Transnistrian segment of the Moldovan-Ukrainian state border, as well as to create an effective international monitoring mechanism on this segment of the border.
