Sans préjudice du mécanisme de sanctions visé au paragraphe 2, et du droit d’annuler bilatéralement la transaction, lorsqu’un participant défaillant ne livre pas les instruments financiers visés à l’article 5, paragraphe 1, au participant destinataire dans un délai de quatre jours ouvrables après la date de règlement convenue (ci-après dénommé «délai de prolongation»), une procédure de rachat d’office est lancée, par laquelle ces instruments doivent être disponibles pour règlement et livrés au participant destinataire dans un délai approprié.
