This proposal, while following up the conclusions of the Agriculture Council, seeks to improve the production and marketing of honey by means of national annual programmes with priority measures (technical assistance, action against varroasis, rationalization of transhumance, support for laboratories, cooperation with specialist bodies) with up to 50% financing from the Community budget (Article 1 and Article 3, second paragraph).
