Le Comité reprend son examen d'une ébauche de rapport. Il est convenu, - Que le président écrive, au nom du Comité, au président du Comité permanent de la justice et des droits de la personne afin d'exhorter celui-ci, comme le recommandait son Vingt et unième rapport à la Chambre, à entreprendre un examen approfondi de la Loi canadienne sur les droits de la personne, de la Commission canadienne des droits de la personne et du Tribunal des droits de la personne, en tenant compte des préoccupations et recommandations du vérificateur général du Canada, exposées au chapitre 10 du rapport de septembre 1998 à la Chambre des communes.
It was agreed, - That the Chair, on behalf of the the Committee, write to the Chair of the Standing Committee on Justice and Human Rights, urging that Committee, as recommended in its Twenty-first Report to the House, to undertake a thorough review of the Canadian Human Rights Act, the Canadian Human Rights Commission and the Canadian Human Rights Tribunal, taking into account the concerns and recommendations of the Auditor General of Canada as expressed in Chapter 10 of his September 1998 Report to the House of Commons.
