Je voudrais ensuite rappeler qu'à l'heure actuelle, la mise sur le marché d'une variété de vigne transgénique pourrait être envisagée moyennant le respect de la directive du Parlement européen et du Conseil relative à la dissémination volontaire d'OGM dans l'environnement, dont une modification vient d'être adoptée tout récemment sur la base d'un projet commun convenu entre nos deux institutions.
Secondly, I would point out that the marketing of a transgenic vine variety is already a possibility, subject to compliance with the Directive of the European Parliament and of the Council on the deliberate release to the environment of genetically modified micro-organisms, which was amended just recently on the basis of a joint text agreed between our two institutions.
