- (ES) Monsieur le Président, la volonté de la Commission en réponse aux orientations du Conseil européen d'établir une politique globale et intégrée sur l'immigration est certes louable, mais la perspective policière et du ministère de l'Intérieur, qui se dégage de la communication, s'oppose diamétralement à la vision qu'a ce Parlement des relations que doit entretenir l'Union européenne avec les pays en voie de développement, dont le nombre d'immigrés - selon la Commission elle-même - ne constitue pas un problème.
– (ES) Mr President, the will of the Commission in response to the orientations of the European Council to establish a global and integrated policy of migrations is very laudable, but the police and Interior Ministry approach, which can be gathered from the communication, clashes directly with this Parliament’s view of the relations the European Union must maintain with the developing countries, whose immigrants, by the way – and according to the Commission itself – are not a problem from a quantitative point of view.
